Description
This day had very, very unusual circumstances. A bay of about maybe a half dozen football fields in size, usually full of deep crystal clear water, but at this moment was absolutely full of sand. As a result, the swell was blasting into the outer edge of the sand beach, quite heavily. The water dropped off dozens of feet deep, straight off the sand, so the swell was hitting the beach with great force. With the beach being so steep, the water from the wave was racing back down the steep beach and turning back into a wave, back out to see. This picture is a result of one of those backwash waves, colliding with a regular incoming wave. Maybe this was where the term, "Crashing Waves" came from... The waves collided with such force that the backwash wave is actually tubing as it travels up the face of the new wave.
This art piece is available in a diverse range of rolled or framed gallery-quality canvas, soft duvet covers as well as other home decor items such as fabric shower curtains, greeting cards, and tote bags and also decorative throw pillows for your beach house.
