I was using a Canon 5D MKII with a Tokina 10-17 zoom fisheye, inside an Essex Water Housing with an extra-large dome port. I was initially in the water just to shoot the tree line in the early light with the split water perspective in the foreground, but then this turtle wandered into the scene, so I incorporated it into the picture. As with many of my best images, it was a matter of being out there and having the image come to me, so to speak.
