In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.

That is a striking photo, very beautifully captured and composed . . . L/F/P/T
Sean Davey replied:
David, I'm not surprised that this one appealed to you. It kind of has that fantastical look about it.
Greg Hayhoe
looks like a wonderful winter scene...Really appealing in Infra red and B&W.
Sean Davey replied:
Greg, the infrared seems to work best on sunny blue sky days. That's when I get my best results.
Murray Rudd
Yeah, I am with you on that. I probably do 95% monochrome for IR - when I do color it's usually more or less a color grading treatment.
Murray Rudd
Great shot - glad to see there are some active IR shooters active on FAA
Sean Davey replied:
Thanks, Murray. I only like the BW though because it doesn't look realistic in color.
